Denmark does not have an appreciable number of natural resources. On the other hand, Danes have good brains, which we have always been able to apply to the development of new projects. Among other things based on Danish craftsmanship traditions and skills and on our knowledge about materials and tools. In addition, Denmark has a high standard of tertiary education, whether it be for architects, engineers or designers. All this goes towards creating a very positive starting point for the Danish construction industry.
In other words, the right preconditions exist in ample measure, and we have become very good at making the most of them. The challenge for the future is therefore ensuring that we maintain the momentum in terms of both knowledge levels and creativity.
Innovation
Growth and development are also about challenging traditions and saying “Perhaps we could” instead of “That’s not possible”. It’s a question of innovation, ingenuity, development – and ultimately also about courage. The courage to combine materials in new and exciting ways. And the courage to reassess the traditional ways in which things are done such as space partitioning, design and function.
One of CSK’s key strengths is that we are relatively young. Ever since we started, our mantra has been that anything is possible. Our speciality is steel – it is the company’s raison d’être – but we always see our solutions in a larger perspective. What are the other materials, what are the architect’s intentions, who is going to use the building – and for what? In this way, we become an integral part of the project, and partner with all the other skilled specialists.
The future
At the same time, we obviously want to promote steel. In our world, it is the building material of the future. Steel is an incredible material. It is light in relation to its tensile strength, it is easy to transport, and it offers huge scope for assembling multiple elements. In addition, it is an economically attractive solution. The fact that architects and contractors are increasingly discovering the obvious possibilities that steel offers is reflected in our participation in a wide range of exciting building projects.
Safety
As an unshakeable pillar for everything we do at CSK, our company mantra and slogan are fashioned in both steel and neon. The mantra reads ‘We Strongly Believe in Safety’, and conveys our uncompromising approach to safety and our zero-tolerance policy. Not only at our factories, but just as much in connection with loading, transport and assembly.
